A three-day Model United Nations conference hosted in Shanghai, Concordia International School Shanghai Model United Nations (CISSMUN) is the largest high school student-organized Model United Nations conference in China.
Since 2012, CISSMUN has simulated world diplomacy, equipping delegates with a nuanced understanding of contemporary sociopolitical issues while cultivating the diplomatic acumen and intellectual rigor found in those who drive positive global transformation.
We look forward to welcoming you to CISSMUN XVI. Below is a detailed timeline outlining key milestones and what to expect in the lead-up to the conference.
April – October 2
Register to join CISSMUN XVI! Please note that the conference has limited capacity; schools registering after the conference reaches full capacity will be placed on a waitlist.
Beginning in early September, the final registration form (Form II) will be sent to school directors.

Assignments for Student Officers and the CISSMUN VIGIL press team will be published on this date.
Vigil application → Student Officer Application →October 30
All Form IIs must be submitted by this date to confirm your delegation’s participation in CISSMUN XVI.
November 27
This is the final date for refund requests. After this date, participation fees will remain due even if students withdraw.
Please continue to inform the CISSMUN Secretariat via email of any student withdrawals.
December 11
After submitting Form IIs and the arrival/departure forms, schools will receive an invoice.
Payment must be completed by this date to confirm participation.
January 15–17
